Prostate Cancer UK & NCG Top 100s Tour Forge National Partnership for 2026 Golf Season
Prostate Cancer UK has officially partnered with the NCG (National Club Golfer) Top 100s Tour in a significant national collaboration. This initiative, spanning the 2026 golf season, is strategically designed to generate crucial funds and enhance awareness in the ongoing effort to save men's lives across the UK.
Commencing in March, this partnership will deeply integrate Prostate Cancer UK across the entire Top 100s Tour calendar, underscoring golf’s increasing influence in highlighting prostate cancer – now recognized as the most common cancer in the UK. Every event will feature fundraising activities and vital health messaging, encouraging golfers to participate actively while enjoying competitive play at some of the nation's most prestigious golf courses.
A central feature of this collaboration will be the introduction of a dedicated Prostate Cancer UK 36-hole Major into the Tour’s schedule. This Major, set to take place at Fulford Golf Club on Wednesday, September 2nd, will offer golfers a unique opportunity to undertake their own "Big Golf Race" challenge within the competitive framework of a Tour event. This combines the thrill of competition with a powerful charitable cause. Participants entering the Prostate Cancer UK 36-hole Major will be encouraged to sign up for The Big Golf Race by creating an online fundraising page, thereby supporting research projects aimed at transforming prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment methods.
Prostate Cancer UK views this partnership as an invaluable channel to deliver life-saving messages directly to the golfing community. Seren Evans, Senior Head of Mass Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, commented, "Golfers have historically played a tremendous role in helping us fund vital research through initiatives like The Big Golf Race. This new partnership with National Club Golfer will further amplify awareness of prostate cancer risk and engage even more golfers nationwide in supporting our cause."
Evans further highlighted, "Prostate cancer affects one in eight men and remains the only major cancer without a national screening program. By collaborating with the NCG Top 100s Tour, we can initiate essential conversations about men's health while simultaneously raising funds that will power research capable of changing and saving lives."
The NCG Top 100s Tour is widely recognized as one of the UK’s most popular amateur golf series, providing everyday club golfers with the chance to compete on nationally ranked Top 100 courses. The Tour, which extends across all regions of the UK, delivers a professionally managed, inclusive, and competitive experience, attracting golfers of all abilities who share a passion for exceptional courses and robust competition.
Tom Irwin, Director of the NCG Top 100s Tour, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: "The NCG Top 100s Tour brings together thousands of passionate club golfers annually, and we are incredibly proud to partner with Prostate Cancer UK to empower these golfers to make a real, tangible difference. Incorporating a Prostate Cancer UK Major into the Tour calendar is an excellent way to blend competitive golf with a cause that profoundly affects so many of our readers, their families, and friends. This collaboration is a natural fit with our audience and their values, and we are confident the Tour community will fully embrace this initiative."
Under this new partnership, Prostate Cancer UK will be featured in all marketing campaigns targeting golfers involved in the NCG Top 100s Tour. This comprehensive promotion includes dedicated email campaigns, prominent website banners, on-course and off-course branding at events, and extensive promotion across all of the publication’s social media platforms.
Additionally, leading high-street retailer Charles Tyrwhitt is also joining Prostate Cancer UK as a partner for 2026. They will sponsor Prostate Cancer UK’s golf-related efforts, including The Big Golf Race. Charles Tyrwhitt will further support Big Golf Racers by offering participants a 20% store-wide discount, applicable to their performance range, and will also enter its own Big Golf Race team.
