History

Prestbury Golf Club was founded in February 1920, with Harry Colt appointed to design the course. Nine holes were ready for play on Easter Saturday the following year. The official opening of the club and the full 18-hole course took place three years later, in April 1924.

In recent years, Prestbury has engaged Mackenzie & Ebert to conduct an 18-hole review of the course. They provided recommendations for future improvements, primarily focusing on enhancing the course's distinctive Harry Colt-style bunkering.
