Paul McBride Secures Third Place at MENA Tour's Hilton Classic
Irish golfer Paul McBride delivered a strong performance at the MENA Golf Tour's Hilton Classic in Morocco, clinching third place with a final round of five-under-par 67. This impressive finish earned him $7,000.
The 30-year-old former Wake Forest and Walker Cup player concluded the tournament just three strokes behind the winner, France's Pierre Pineau, at Al Houara Golf Club in Tangier.
Reflecting on his play, McBride stated, “I felt like I played really well throughout the day. It’s definitely good for the confidence to be in contention, especially this early in the year. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season now and seeing what opportunities come up next.”
Fellow Irishman Mark Power also had a notable tournament, sharing fourth place on five-under-par after carding a 67 in his final round, taking home $4,550. Alex Maguire finished tied for ninth with a three-under-par total, closing with a 71, while Marc Boucher placed joint 40th at six-over.
In the Order of Merit standings, former Ryder Cup player Chris Wood currently leads. Alex Maguire is the highest-ranked Irish player at eighth place.
