Ludvig Åberg, the talented Swedish golfer, will head into the final round of The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass holding a commanding three-stroke advantage.

The 26-year-old Swede concluded his round with a one-under 71, despite a bogey on the 18th hole, bringing his total score to an impressive 13-under-par. He is closely pursued by fellow Ponte Vedra resident Michael Thorbjornsen, who delivered a stellar 67.

Cameron Young currently sits a shot further back at nine-under after carding an even-par 72 on a challenging day where only 18 players managed to break 70.

A group of prominent golfers, including Matt Fitzpatrick (69), Brian Harman (69), Viktor Hovland (69), Justin Thomas (72), Corey Conners (72), and Xander Schauffele (74), are tied for fourth place, five shots behind the leader.

Rory McIlroy faced difficulties on the course, particularly with his putting, requiring 32 putts en route to an even-par 72. This left him in a tie for 57th position at one-over.

Séamus Power, who completed his round in a swift 3 hours and 15 minutes, posted a 74, placing him in 66th at four-over. His round was marked by inconsistencies, including a triple bogey on the 10th and a double bogey on the 18th, despite making three birdies on the back nine.

Power is scheduled to play with Tony Finau, while McIlroy will be paired with Nico Echavarria. The leaders are set to tee off later in the afternoon.

DeChambeau Clinches Victory in Singapore

Two-time US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau emerged victorious at LIV Golf Singapore, defeating Richard T Lee in a dramatic sudden-death playoff.

Both DeChambeau and Lee carded impressive five-under 66s, finishing regulation play tied at 14-under-par at the Sentosa Golf Club. Lee Westwood secured third place, two shots adrift, with a final round 69.

Returning to the par-five 18th for the playoff, DeChambeau secured the win and the coveted $4 million top prize with a par, while Lee unfortunately made a bogey.

Lee narrowly missed a par putt from inside three feet that would have extended the playoff, expressing visible disappointment.

DeChambeau, showing great sportsmanship, commented, "I absolutely hated it for Richard. He's been playing some unbelievable golf... I have a lot of respect for Richard and the way he golfs his ball out there."

The team event at LIV Golf Singapore was won by 4Aces GC.

Other notable performances included Tom McKibbin, who tied for 21st at four-under after a 69, and Graeme McDowell, who finished joint 28th at three-under with an even-par 71.
