Cobra Ultralight Pro Cart Bag

Cobra Ultralight Pro Cart Bag

For those who appreciate bold colors and patterns in their golf equipment, the Cobra Ultralight Pro Cart Bag immediately hits the mark, especially in the Winter Snake Camo colorway. While not overtly flashy, it distinctly stands out, which I consider a major plus! Upon unboxing, the striking style is evident, as is its incredible lightness, weighing less than 3KG – truly living up to its ‘Ultralight’ name.

I tested it on the course during one of the summer’s last warm weekends and was thoroughly impressed. Its lightweight nature, even when fully packed, made it remarkably easy to maneuver around my home club’s hilly and undulating course. As someone accustomed to carrying a stand bag, it takes a lot for a cart bag to convince me to switch back to transporting a larger bag and trolley. However, the Cobra Ultralight Pro Cart Bag has achieved just that. It’s user-friendly, offers ample space, and looks fantastic. Why wouldn’t you want to take this bag out for a round? This bag delivers everything one could desire from a cart bag, and I anticipate using it for a long time.

PROS

  • Exceptional lightweight design
  • Abundant pockets for all gear
  • Available in a wide variety of stylish colorways
  • Competitively priced

It also includes a built-in rain cover, made from the same high-quality material, that attaches quickly and easily for unexpected showers.

The bag’s storage capabilities are genuinely impressive, featuring nine individual pockets. These include two plush velour-lined valuables pockets, a large insulated front pocket, and a magnetic front pocket, providing ample room for all your golfing essentials.

Overall, Stewart has delivered an exceptional product with the Nero 2 Cart Bag. It boasts a sophisticated look, extensive storage, and year-round usability. If you’re considering an upgrade, I highly recommend exploring Stewart Golf’s range of bags and their impressive trolleys. This bag significantly enhanced my golfing experience throughout the day.

In fact, in terms of comfort and balance, I haven’t tested anything superior.

Simply describing the features of this bag doesn’t fully capture its essence. It is an exceptionally well-designed product. The more substantial material and clever pocket layout make it appear slightly slimmer than most cart bags without compromising on storage capacity. This design makes it more manageable when loading it in and out of a car or a locker.

While not inexpensive, it is a premium product through and through, and in my opinion, stands as one of the best cart bags available.

PROS

  • Excellent aesthetic
  • Innovative storage solutions
  • Exudes quality craftsmanship
  • Manageable size

CONS

  • Relatively high price point

Ping Traverse 2025 Cart Bag

Ping Traverse 2025 Cart Bag

Reviewed by Gillon Fabbroni

When placed on my electric trolley, the recesses in the base ensured it sat very securely. The strap pass-through channels were well-positioned, contributing to a neat appearance—a feature I particularly appreciate in bags. The ample size of cart bags usually means space is not an issue, and the two large side pockets provide extensive storage. Inside each are two smaller pockets, one with a key clip. Both side pockets also feature smaller zip pockets on the exterior for valuables.

The Ping Traverse cart bag stands on its own merits. It is packed with thoughtfully designed features and boasts excellent ergonomics. Coupled with its fantastic price, it undoubtedly contends for one of the best value cart bags currently available.

Wilson Alpine Cart Bag

Wilson Alpine Cart Bag

Reviewed by Gillon Fabbroni

The size and appearance are typical for a cart bag. It features an 11 x 9.5-inch top with 14 full-length dividers and a dedicated putter divider. I found that clubs entered and exited the bag exceptionally smoothly, which is a great start. The base has a squared cut-out, allowing it to sit perfectly in my Motocaddy trolley. Combined with the intelligently designed strap pass-through system at the top, it remained absolutely rock solid on the trolley. The pass-through system allows the strap to go completely under the top of the bag, though it worked even better through just the front portion on my trolley, also giving it a cleaner look.

On each side, there are two large apparel pockets and a soft-lined valuables pocket with a waterproof zip. I particularly appreciate having two valuables pockets; it prevents keys from scratching your phone and allows you to dedicate one pocket to important items that won’t be opened until the end of the round, minimizing the risk of accidental loss on the course. In today’s market, any cart bag you purchase will likely perform well. In my opinion, the Wilson Alpine cart bag stands out in terms of features, particularly its magnetic pocket and pass-through strap system, which are incredibly useful enhancements.

PROS

  • Stylish design
  • Ample storage capacity
  • Numerous clever features
  • Reasonable price

CONS

  • None noted

Vessel Lux XV 2.0 Cart Bag

Vessel Lux XV 2.0 Cart Bag

Reviewed by Jonathan Taylor

The 15-way top ensured all my clubs were easily accessible and remained rattle-free. An optional club organizer that sits above the 15-way top is available, though I found little need for it. As for the pockets, everything simply works. Considerable thought has clearly gone into their design, making the bag a pleasure to use. There’s space for everything you need for a round of golf and more. Admittedly, when fully loaded, the bag is quite heavy, weighing almost 10lbs on its own. However, its numerous handles make it easy enough to load in and out of a car boot and onto a trolley or cart. We encountered some rain showers during testing, and with the rain cover fitted, the bag kept everything perfectly dry.

In summary, I consider the Vessel Lux XV 2.0 a first-class trolley or cart bag. It presents a clean, elegant look, is exceptionally well-designed, and despite its price, offers excellent value due to its timeless design and robust construction, promising many years of enjoyable use.

PROS

  • Luxurious appearance and construction quality
  • Excellent pocket configuration and organization
  • Good range of available colors

CONS

  • Relatively heavy

MacGregor Principal 14.0 Golf Trolley Bag

MacGregor Principal 14.0 Golf Trolley Bag

I was particularly impressed with the exceptional organization offered by this bag. A 10-inch, 14-way top with three full-length dividers allows for easy club placement and access, preventing frantic searches between shots. It also effectively stops clubs from tangling, a common irritant for even the calmest golfers.

Accessibility is a key feature of the MacGregor Principal 14.0 trolley bag, with its forward-facing pockets designed for easy reach, making each one genuinely useful. With warmer days becoming more frequent, many of us carry extra hydration. A cool pocket located at the front of the bag provides convenient storage for food and drinks. This MacGregor trolley bag offers enough space for all your essentials with its nine strategically placed pockets, including a seamless velour-lined valuables pocket. It truly covers all bases, even for the most well-equipped golfers.

Powakaddy Dri-Tech Golf Bag

Powakaddy Dri-Tech Golf Bag

Reviewed by Hannah Holden

Immediately, this is a very smart-looking golf bag, available in five different color options. I tested it in gunmetal with Powakaddy’s signature yellow trim. There is certainly a great deal of room in this bag; even I, who brings everything but the kitchen sink to the golf course, couldn’t fill all seven spacious pockets. If I were being particular, a separate water bottle pocket would be nice for easier access to drinks, though there is plenty of space elsewhere in the bag for one or two bottles.

It includes a built-in umbrella holder, a towel holder, and a scorecard holder on the front of the middle pocket. The 14-way divider for clubs keeps them neatly separated, making it very easy to quickly find the club you need. There’s also a large, dedicated putter bay that can accommodate any size of putter grip, which is extremely useful for players with oversized grips that wouldn’t fit in a conventional slot. This bag is fully waterproof thanks to its heat-welded coating, which has successfully kept my clubs dry through both light and heavy rain so far. The pockets feature superior heat-welded seams to keep water out. In my past experiences with this technology, waterproof pockets can be difficult to access, but Powakaddy has done an excellent job of ensuring all your gear remains accessible.

PROS

  • Lightweight construction
  • Extensive storage capacity
  • Fully waterproof
  • 14-way club divider for superior organization

CONS

  • No dedicated water bottle holder

Ogio All Elements Silencer Cart Bag

Ogio All Elements Silencer Cart Bag review

Reviewed by Nicola Slater

The Ogio All Elements Silencer cart bag is sure to attract attention. It features a new 15-way molded WOODĒ top, specifically designed to separate your clubs, preventing damage and reducing noise. This is a sizable golf bag, offering a huge amount of storage space with pockets of various sizes. The bag is also fully waterproof, equipped with sealed zippers for extra protection. The “silencing” feature might appeal to a niche group of golfers, but it significantly benefits the condition of your clubs. Beyond the silencer technology, this bag stands out for its eye-catching, bold designs which are fun and exciting, and its incredible storage capacity for golfers who want to pack everything they need.

PROS

  • Wide range of designs and colors
  • Plenty of storage space
  • Suitable for all weather conditions

CONS

  • The aesthetics might not appeal to everyone

Titleist Cart 14 StaDry Golf Bag

Titleist Cart 14 StaDry Golf Bag

Reviewed by Jack Backhouse

This is a superb-looking golf bag. I would have been happy with any of the seven color options Titleist offers for the Cart 14 StaDry bag, but this all-navy version is particularly striking. I was amazed by how light it was when empty, weighing just 2.7kg; I had assumed such a waterproof bag would be much heavier.

I genuinely don’t see how any brand could improve upon this waterproof cart bag. It’s a bold claim, but one I firmly stand by. Titleist has a long history of producing exceptionally good cart bags and has seemingly addressed every possible need a golfer might have. I tested this bag on one of the year’s worst golfing days during a recent equipment testing week at my home club, Sand Moor in Leeds. It rained heavily, almost continuously, throughout our time on the course – perfect conditions for a waterproof bag test. This is undoubtedly one of the best Titleist bags I’ve ever used, marking a significant departure from the old leather tour bags I once favored. At a recommended retail price of £250, it sits at the higher end, but for a serious golfer who needs to carry a lot of gear for peak performance, or for anyone in a rainy climate like the UK, it’s a worthwhile investment that will last for years.

PROS

  • Exceptionally lightweight
  • More storage than one could ever need
  • Completely waterproof
  • 14-way club divider for optimal organization

CONS

  • Higher price point

Callaway Org 14 Cart Golf Bag

Callaway Org 14 Cart Golf Bag

This is an outstanding cart or trolley bag: it’s stylish, highly practical, and features a generous array of pockets. For use on a trolley—and I’m confident on a cart as well—I can’t imagine a better option. While I haven’t tested the Org 14 in significant rain, I would expect it to handle light showers well. However, if you require an all-weather bag, I would direct you to the Org 14 HD model.

PROS

  • Attractive design
  • Lightweight and durable construction
  • Excellent pocket configuration
  • Available in a wide range of colors

CONS

  • Primarily suitable for fair weather conditions
